ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH

CKP SENSOR/STATOR REMOVAL

Remove the right seat cowl (page 3-12).
Disconnect the regulator/rectifier 3P (Black) connec­
tor.
Disconnect the CKP senso' 2P (Red) connector.
Release the wires from the clamps.
Remove the bolts, harness clamp and alternator
Loosen the bolts in
cover.
a crisscross pattern
in several steps.
NOTE:
• The alternator cover (stator) is magnetically
attracted to the flywheel, be careful during
removal.
• Be careful not to damage the alternator cover
mating surface.
• Engine oil w ill run out when the alternator cover
is removed. Set an oil oan under the engine and
add the recommended oil to the specified level
after installation.
Remove the dowel pins, oil jet and O-ring.
