INSPECTION
Turn the inner race of HFT bearing with your finger.
The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in
the left crankcase.
Remove and discard the bearing if the race does not
turn smoothly and quietly, or if it fits loosely in the
left crankcase.
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the bolts and bearing set plates.
Remove the bolts and oil separator.
Remove the HFT bearings using the special tools.
TOOLS:
Clutch spring compressor
attachment
Bearing remover shaft
Remover w eight
Apply engine oil to a new bearing.
Drive new bearing into the left crankcase cover with
the marked side facing up until it is fully seated,
using the removed bearing which w ill be discarded.
