3. Shift Switch Line Open Circuit Inspection
Disconnect the TCM 33P (Black) connector.
Check fo r continuity between the left handlebar
switch 3P (Gray) connector and TCM 33P con
nector of the wire harness side.
Connection: A21 (W hite/blue) - W hite/blue
TOOL:
Test probe
Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES
NO
4. Shift Switch Line Short Circuit Inspection
Check for continuity between the left handlebar
switch 3P (Gray) connector terminals of the main
wire harness side and ground.
Connection: W hite/blue - Ground
Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES
NO

1. EOT Sensor System Inspection
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop

Check the EOT sensor w ith the HDS.

YES

2. EOT Sensor Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the EOT sensor 2P connector.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Check the ECT sensor with the HDS.
Is a b o u t 0 V in d ic a te d ?
YES

- GO TO STEP 4.
- • Open circuit in W hite/yellow wire.
• Open circuit in White/blue wire.
W hite/yellow - Ground
- • Short circuit in White/blue wire.
• Short circuit in W hite/yellow wire.
- Replace the TCM w ith a new one, and
recheck (HFT initialization procedure:
page 11-93).
- GO TO STEP 2.
- Intermittent failure.
- GO TO STEP 3.
- Faulty EOT sensor.
