TURNING INSPECTION AT HFT OIL PUMP SIDE

Remove the fo llo w in g :
- P rim ary d riv e n g e a r (p a g e 11-67)
- N /D clutch (p a g e 11-77)
H old th e HFT sh aft and tu rn th e H FT at th e oil p u m p
side.
Check th e H FT ro ta tio n at th e oil p u m p side.
T h e H FT at th e oil p u m p side sh ou ld tu rn sm o o th ly.
- A first fe w tu rn s m a y seem u n s m o o th as th e HFT
is fille d w ith oil.
- Click sound (co n tactin g sound o f th e piston and
oil p um p side sw ash p late) m a y be heard as you
tu rn the H FT (n in e tim e s p e r tu rn ).
If th e H FT o p e ra tio n is a b n o rm a l, split th e crankcase
and inspect th e H FT (p a g e 11-91).
Install th e fo llo w in g :
- P rim a ry d riv e n g e a r (p a g e 11-68)
- N /D clutch (p a g e 11-88)

R e m o v e the N /D clutch (p a g e 11-77).
T u rn th e HFT shaft.
C heck th e HFT ro ta tio n at th e oil m o to r side.
- A first *'ew tu rn s m a y n o t seem sm o o th as th e
H FT is filled w ith oil.
- Click sound (co n tacting so u n d o f th e piston and
oil m o to r side sw ash p la te ) m a y be hearC as you
tu rn th e H F T (n in e tim e s p er tu rn ).
If th e H FT o p e ra tio n is a b n o rm a l, sp lit th e crankcase
an d inspect th e H FT (p a g e 11-91).
Install th e N/D clutch (p a g e 11-88).
