2. N/D Solenoid Valve Inspection
Remove the N/D solenoid valve (page 11 -107).
Measure the resistance at the N/D solenoid valve
2P connector terminals.
Is th e resistance w ith in 1 4 - 1 7 Q (20°C /68F)7
YES - GO TO STEP 3.
NO - Faulty N/D solenoid valve.
3. N/D Solenoid Valve Operate Inspection
Connect a 12 V battery to N/D solenoid valve 2P
connector terminals.
Check that air does not flow (A) to (C). A ir should
flow (A) to (B).
Does th e N /D s o le n o id valve o p e ra te ?
YES - GO TO STEP 4.
NO - Faulty N/D solenoid valve.
4. Spool Valve and HFT Oil Passage Inspection
Inspect the follow ing:
- Spool valve (page 11-71)
- HFT oil passage (page 11-72)
A re th e sp o o l valve a n d HFT o il passage n o rm a l?
YES - GO TO STEP 5.
NO - • Faulty spool valve.
• Clean HFT oil passage.
5. Failure Reproduction
Reset the self diagnosis memory data from the
TCM (page 11-24).
Perform the HFT initialization procedure (page
11-93).
Test-ride the motorcycle, then check the HDS.
Is DTC 14-1 in d ic a te d ?
YES - GO TO STEP
NO - Interm ittent failure or clogged HFT oil
passage.
