Coat new O -rirgs w ith engine oil and install th e n to
the dowel pins.
Install the dowel pins into the right crankcase.
Install the left crankcase over the right crankcase.
Install the left crankcase bolts.
Tighten the 8 mm bolts to the specified torque in a
crisscross pattern in several steps.
TORQUE: 23 N-m (2.3 kgf-m, 17 Ibf-ft)
Tighten the 6 mm bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m, 9 Ibf-ft)
Install the front side cam chain to the crankshaft.
Apply locking agent to the bolt threads (page 1-18).
Install the cam chain tensioner setting plate and
tighten the bot.
The rear side cam chain uses the same service pro­
cedure as the front side cam chain.
Install the remaining parts (page 13-3).
Install the engine into the frame (page 8-9).
