Remove the stopper ring and end plate.
Measure the end plate tabs thickness and record it.
Calculate the new end plate thickness using the
equation below.
A = (B - 0.8) + C
A: New end plate thickness
B: Recorded clearance
C: Old end plate thickness
Select a new end plate with a correct one and install
it to the clutch drum.
Install the stopper ring.
END PLATE NUMBER

INSTALLATION
Install the primary gear and washer to the N/D
clutch assembly.
Install the N/D clutch assembly to the right crank­
case.
Install the right crankcase cover (page 11-76).
Add the recommended engine oil (page 4-12) and
check that there are no oil leaks.
