SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
• This section covers service o f the rocker arm , cam shaft, cylinde r head and valve.
• The cylinder head services can be done w ith the engine installed in the fram e.
• Be careful not to dam age the m ating surfaces w hen rem oving the cylinder head cover and cylinder head. Do not strike
the cylinder head cover and cylinder head to o hard during removal.
• When disassembling, mark and store the disassem bled parts to ensure that they are reinstalled in th e ir o rig in al loca­
tions.
• Clean all disassembled parts w ith cleaning solvent and d ry them by b low ing them o ff w ith compressed air before
inspection.
• Camshaft and rocker arm lubricating oil is fed th rough oil passages in the cylinder head and camshaft holder. Clean the
oil passages before assem bling the cylinder head and cover.
