DTC TROUBLESHOOTING

DTC 1-1 (M A P S E N S O R L O W
V O L T A G E )
1. MAP Sensor System Inspection
Turn the ignition sw itch ON and engine stop
sw itch " O "•
Check the MAP sensor w ith the HDS pocket
tester.
Is a b o u t 0 V o r b e lo w indicated?
YES
NO
2. MAP Sensor Input Voltage Inspection
Turn the ign tio n sw itch OFF.
D isconnect the MAP sensor 3P (Black) connec­
tor.
Turn the ignition sw itch ON and engine stop
sw itch " O "•
M easure the voltage at the w ire harness side.
Connection: Yellow/red (+) - Green/orange (-)
Is th e voltage w ith in 4.75 - 5.25 V?
YES
NO
3. MAP Sensor Input Line Inspection
Turn th e ign ition sw itch OFF.
Disconnect the ECM 33P connectors.
Check fo r co n tin u ity at the Y ellow /red wire
between the MAP sensor 3P (Black) connector
te rm in a l and the ECM 33P (Black) connector.
Connection: A9 - Yellow/red
TOOL:
Test probe
Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES
NO
4. MAP Sensor Output Line Short Circuit Inspec­
tion
Check fo r co n tin u ity between the MAP sensor 3P
(Black) c o n re c to r te rm in a l o f the w ire harness
side and ground.
Connection: Light green/yellow - ground
Is the re c o n tin u ity ?
YES
NO
- G O TO STEP 2.
- • Interm ittent failure
• Loose o r poor contact on the MAP
sensor connector
- G O TO STEP 4.
- G O TO STEP 3.

- Replace the ECM w ith a know n good
one, and recheck.
- Open circu it in Y ellow /red w ire
- S hort circuit in Light green/yello w wire
- G O TO STEP 5.
