FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
Remove the nuts.
Loosen the nuts in
a crisscross pattern
in several steps.
Rem ove the fuel pum p assem bly w ith the packing.
Be careful n o t to
dam age the fuel
level sensor.
IN S P E C T IO N
Check the fuel pum p assem bly fo r damage.
Replace the fuel pum p if it necessary.
Clean the fuel strainer screen.
IN S T A L L A T IO N
Place a new packing onto the fuel pum p assembly.
A lw ays replace
packing w ith a n e w
one.
Install the fuel pum p assem bly to the fuel tank.
Be careful n o t to
pinch the d irt and
debris be tw ee n the
fuel p u m p and
packing.
