FINAL DRIVE
Remove the oil orifice f'o m the side gear case
assembly.
Remove the O-rings from the oil orifice.
B E A R IN G IN S P E C T IO N
Remove the side gear case assembly (page 14-22).
Turn the inner race of final driven gear bearing with
your finger.
The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Also check that the bearirg outer race fit tightly in
the crankcase.
Remove and discard the bearing if the races do not
turn smoothly, quietly, or if they fit loosely in the
crankcase.
BEARING REPLACEMENT
Remove the side gear case assembly (page 14-22).
Remove the final driven gear bearing.
Apply engine oil to a new bearing.
Drive new bearing into the right crankcase w ith the
marked side facing up until it is flush w ith the right
crankcase surface.
TOOLS:
Driver
Pilot, 28 mm
Attachment, 62 x 68 mm
Install the side gear case assembly (page 14-43).
