. Neutral Oil Pressure Switch Inspection

Replace the neutral oil pressure switch (page 11-
106).
Reset the self diagnosis memory data from the
TCM (page 11-24).
Test-ride the motorcycle, then check the HDS.
Is DTC 14-1 in d ic a te d ?
YES
NO
DTC 17-1 (N /D SOLENOID VALVE)
• Before starting inspection, Check for loose or
poor connectors on the N/D solenoid valve 2P
(Black) connector and TCM 33P (Black) connec­
tor, then check the DTC.
1. N/D Solenoid Valve System Inspection
Start the engine and select the D of the N/D
select switch.
Check the N/D solenoid valve with the HDS.
Is DTC 17-1 indicated?
YES
NO
2. N/D Solenoid Valve Inspection
Remove the N/D solenoid valve (page 11 -107).
Measure the resistance at the N/D solenoid valve
2P connector terminals.
Is th e resistance w ith in 1 4 - 17
YES
NO
3. N/D Solenoid Valve Operate Inspection
Connect a 12 V battery to N/D solenoid valve 2P
connector terminals.
Check that air does not flo w (A) to (C). A ir should
flo w (A) to (B).
Does the N /D solenoid valve operate?
YES
NO

- Replace the TCM w ith a new one, and
recheck (HFT initialization procedure:
page 11-93).
- Faulty original neutral
switch.
- GO TO STEP 2.
- Intermittent failure.
- GO TO STEP 3.
- Faulty N/D solenoid valve.
- GO TO STEP 4.
- Faulty N/D solenoid valve.
