Turn the ig n itio n sw itch OFF.
Disconnect the ECM 33P (Gray) connector.
Check fo r c o n tin u ity between the ECM 33P
(Gray) connector and O
nector o f the w ire harness side.
CONNECTION: P in k /b lu e - B2
TOOL:
Test probe
Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES
NO

Connect the ECM 33P (Gray) connector.
Check fo r c o n tin u ity between the O
(W hite) connector o f the w ire harness side and
ground.
CONNECTION: P in k /b lu e - Ground
Is there c o n tin u ity ?
YES
NO
D TC 29-1 (IA C V )
• Before starting the inspection, check fo r loose or
poo r contact on the IACV 4P (Black) connector
and recheck th e DTC.
1. Recheck DTC
Reset the DTC (page 6-13).
Start the engine and recheck the DTC.
Is th e DTC 29-1 indicated?
NO
YES
2. IACV S hort C ircuit Inspection
Remove the air cleaner housing (page 6-50).
Turn the ig n itio n sw itch OFF.
Disconnect the IACV 4P (Black) connector.
Check fo r co ntinuitie s between the IACV 4P
(Black) connector and ground.
CONNECTION: Y ellow /blue - Ground

- GO TO STEP 5.
- Open circuit in Pink/blue w ire.
Sensor Heater S hort c irc u it Inspection
- Short circuit in Pink/blue w ire.
- Replace the ECM w ith a new one, and
recheck.
- • In te rm itte n t failure.
• Loose o r poor contact on the IACV 4P
(Black) connector.
- GO TO STEP 2.

Green - Ground

- • S hort circuit in Y ellow /blue or Green/
w h ite w ire.
• S hort circu it in Green o r Green/yel­
lo w wire.
- GO TO STEP 3.
