5. TP Sensor Input Voltage Inspection
Check fo r continuity between the engine sub
harness 20P (Black) connector and TCM 33P
(Black) connector of the main wire harness side.
Connection: A31 (Yellow/red) - Yellow/red
TOOL:
Test probe
Is there c o n tin u ity ?
- GO TO STEP
YES
- Open circuit in Yellow/red wire.
NO
6. TP Sensor Output Line Short Circuit Inspection
Check for continuity between the TCM
nector terminal of the wire harness side and
ground.
Connection: A31 (Yellow/red) - Ground
TOOL:
Test probe
Is th ere c o n tin u ity ?
- Short circuit in Yellow/red wire.
YES
NO - Replace the TCM with
recheck (HFT initialization procedure:
page 11-93)
DTC 8-2 (TP SENSOR HIGH VOLTAGE)
• Before starting inspection, Check for loose or
poor connectors on the TP sensor 3P (Black) con­
nector and TCM 33P (Black) connector, then
check the DTC.
1. TP Sensor Inspection
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch " O " -
Check the TP sensor with the HDS w ith the PGM-
Fl system.
Is DTC 8-2 o f th e PGM-FI system indicated?
YES - Inspect the TP sensor trouble shooting
