H . Reassemble Generator to Engine
(1) Use hoists to move the generator to the engine (see Figure 19), and position
the generator so that the generator housing mates with fan housing. Rotate
armature to align bushings in coupling with mounting holes in flywheel adapter.
(2) Install six fan housing-to-generator screws (2, Fig. 2). Torque to 35 foot-
pounds.
(3) Install six coupling-to-flywheel screws (6, Fig. 3). Donot tighten until all
screws are started.
Tighten and torque the coupling-to-flywheel screws to 85
foot pounds (see Figure 20). To prevent engine rotation while tightening
screws, place a 3/4-inch drive extension in the front crankshaft pulley, and
attach a long flex-handle.
Brace the handle against the floor, or frame, etc.,
(see Fig. 4).
