Gradually apply lifting force and carefully check to make certain the
assembly is completely free to be lifted out of the frame.
CAUTION: DOUBLE CHECK ALL LIFTING CONNECTIONS,
CHAINS, ETC., TO BE CERTAIN THE ASSEMBLY
CANNOT FALL.
Carefully lift the engine-generator assembly, with transmission attached, out
of the frame and move to a clear working area.
Lower the assembly to the floor and block in an upright position.
Disconnect hoists and remove chains.
Remove transmission as follows:
(a) Remove cap screws which attach transmission to exciter housing and
slide transmission away from exciter.
(b) Remove cap screws which attach clutch plate assembly to exciter
flywheel and lift out clutch assembly with clutch disc.
