(2) Lift the generator a few inches and place wooden blocks under the engine
flywheel housing to support it when the generator is disconnected (see Fig. 2).
(3) Lower the generator until most of the weight is supported by the wooden blocks,
but continue to support the generator with the hoist.
CAUTION: USE ADDITIONAL BLOCKING OR SHOP FACILITIES AS
REQUIRED TO MAKE CERTAIN THE ENGINE CANNOT
TIP, ROLL, OR FALL.
(4) Remove the fan cover (1, Figure 2) which is attached by screws (3).
