A fuse-interlock
relay((FIR)
prevents
normal closing
of the load contactor
when
12-V
DC power is not available
for operation
of the protective
system.

Monitoring

Generator
output
is indicated
by three instruments;
a frequency
meter (FM),
a
voltmeter
(VM) , and an ammeter (2AM).
The reed-type
frequency
meter (FM)
indicates
cycles-per-second
(Hz)
in phase "A".
The voltmeter
(VM)
will
indicate
generator
output voltage
in each of three phases as selected
by the rotary
switch
(SS).
Output
amperage is indicated
by the ammeter (2AM).
Current
sensing
transformers
(lCT,
2CT,
and 3CT)
supply the operating
signa Is to the ammeter.
A toggle switch
(not shown),
physically
located below the rotary
switch
(SS),
provides
a means of selecting
line-to-neutral
or line-to-line
voltage
values.
