Install air cleaner
and
mounting frame assembly, again making certain that all
cables, leads, controls, etc.,
are properly routed and positioned. Secure air
cleaner frame.

Connect starting aid control and output tube. Connect air cleaner hose.
Connect all leads, cables, controls, etc., which were disconnected in Para. 2,
B,' (14) above.

Refer to connection diagrams in 5-1,
if in doubt about any wiring connections.
Position the steering column assembly in the vehicle. With front wheels point-
ing straight ahead, turn the steering wheel to position noted in Para. 2, B, (13)
above, and slide the splined joint (2, Fig. 3) onto the steering box shaft.
Tighten clamp screw (3), position column in lower bracket and install clamp.

Install turn signal control and connect horn wire.
Install canopy side panels and front canopy (Ref. Fig. 1). Connect clearance
light wires. Install exhaust pipe elbows (if used).

Install floorboard as follows:
(a) Lift floorboard into position and align mounting holes. Apply parking brake
so floorboard will clear the lever. Installattaching screws.
(b) Connect accelerator control cable (see Fig. 2).

,Check operation and adjustment of accelerator linkage (Ref. 2-3, Para. 3, F).
Connect all fuel lines and hoses and open fuel valve at the tank.

Check ALL wiring thoroughly to make certain all wires, leads, cables, etc.,
have been properly reconnected.
Refer to connection diagrams in 5-l.
Connect battery leads at the starter solenoid.
Reconnect battery lead terminals.
Remember that there are two parallel circuits.
CAUTION: IF THERE IS THE SLIGHTEST SPARKING WHEN A CIRCUIT IS
CONNECTED, REMOVE CABLE AT ONCE AND CHECK FOR
A SHORT CIRCUITED CONDITION IN THE 12-V DC SYSTEM,
OR FOR SWITCHES WH ICH ARE IN "ON " POSITION. TURN
ALL SWITCHES "OFF". BE SURE THERE ARE NO SHORTS BE-
FORE FINAL BATTERY CONNECTION.
