Raise the chassis and support with
iack stands or blocks as instructed
in Para.
2, A,

Attach
lifting
hoists to the engine-generator
as instructed
in Para.
2,
B, (28).
Lift
the assembly and make certain
all
lifting
components are dependably
secured.
Move the assembly to a position
above its mounted location
in the chassis.
Lower the assembly slowly
and guide
it into mounted position.
CAUTION:
GUIDE
AND
STEADY
THE
ENGINE-GENERATOR
ASSEMBLY
CONSTANTLY.
BE SURE
THAT
THE
ASSEMBLY
IS CLEAR
AT ALL
TIMES
AND
THAT
ITEMS
SUCH
AS THE
CLUTCH
SHAFT
ARE NOT
DAMAGED.

Shift
the assembly as required
to align
mounting
holes,
etc.
Install
front
engine support screws and generator-to-frame
attaching
screws.

Install
drive shaft.
Position
the pedal assembly (2,
Fig.
6) and attach with
two screws (1).
Connect
two brake tubes to master cylinder
fitting
(Ref.
3,
Fig.
5).
Connect stoplight
switch
and Micro
switch
leads (1 and 2,
Fig.
5).
Position
bearing
(6,
Fig.
4) on bracket
(7).
Attach
with
two screws,
nuts,
and washers.

Connect
clutch
rod (2,
Fig.
4) to clutch
pedal.
It may be necessary
to slide
the peda I partly
off of the shaft to make this connection.

Install
washer and new cotter
pin (1).
Hoist
radiator
into position
and attach.
Connect
all coolant
hoses and tighten
clamps securely.
Attach
a hoist to the control
box assembly and carefully
lift
into position.
Route cables,
leads,
controls,
etc.,
so that they are properly
positioned
and
not pinched or damaged.
Align
mounting
holes and install
attaching
screws.
Remove hoist.
