Install new element and tighten by hand until seal touches filter head.
Tighten an additional one-half to three-fourths turn.

C. Fve I Pump Service
(1) Clean fue I pump screen
The fuel pump should be serviced after each 1200 hours of operation by cleaning
the filter screen.
(a) Carefully clean the top of the fuel pump so that no dirt may enter the pump
when cap (2, Fig. 12) is removed.
(b) Loosen and remove cap (2) and "0" ring. Lift out spring (4) and filter
screen (5) assembly. Observe spring and screen to identify top and bottom
so parts may be reinstaI!ed properly.
