Attach
a hoist to the front end of the generator
rotor as shown in Figure
9.
Use a long piece of ordinary
pipe to lift
and slide the rotor
out of the stator
housing toward the front
(Figure
9).

proceed to Para.

After
Cleaning
and Inspection,
return
to the next paragraph (8) bel ow if further
disassembly

replacement

remove them with
a suitable
bearing
puller
after removing
retaining
ring (19,
Fig.
7).
Pulling
pressure should be exerted
on the inner
race of the bearing.

USE A THICK
FLAT
WASHER
OR OTHER
SUITABLE
ITEM
OVER
THE
END
OF THE
ROTOR
SHAFT
TO
PROTECT
CENTERING
SEAT
AND
THREADS.
