Refer

2 and remove six fan housing
(5) to generator
screws (2).

Move the generator
away from the engine
to a clear working
area (see Fig.
1),
and lower
it to a suitable
work stand.
Leave the hoist
connected.

Remove flexible
coupling
and fan shown in Figure
5.

Use a 5/16
inch "Allen"
wrench to remove screws ("A",
Fig.
6).
(b)
Oil
the th rea d s and point
of one of the screws and thread
into partially
threaded
hole
"B".
Tighten
screw to force tapered hub "C" off of split
bushing
"D".
NOTE:
If hub "C" does not loosen at once,
strike
it with a brass
driving
rod and heavy hammer.
When the hub is loose on the bushing,
drive
the blade of a screwdriver
or
other thin tapered tool,
into the split
in the bushing to expand and loosen
it on the rotor shaft.
