2.7.1 TONER BANK

Toner is supplied from a toner bank unit, which is in a different part of the machine
from the development unit.
The toner bank [A] holds two toner bottles. The machine works even if there is only
one bottle installed. Toner can be supplied from either the upper or lower toner
bottle (not from both at the same time). When the upper toner bottle is supplying
toner, the upper bottle cap motor [B] pulls out the toner bottle cap. The upper bottle
inner cap sensor [C] detects the actuator in the toner bottle opening rod.
Toner is supplied from the toner bottle to the toner entrance tank [D]. The toner
near end sensor [E] (at the rear right of the toner bank unit) checks for the
presence of toner in the toner entrance tank.
