DESCRIPTION OF MODIFICATION
In order to activate the new default settings
after you have installed the firmware, you
must enter the SP modes and manually
change the settings to the following new
default values. After this has been done, the
machine will recognize these settings as
default.
Development Bias Image area: SP2-201-
1(550 to 530).
Development Bias Transparent Sheet: SP2-
201-3 (550 to 530).
Charge Corona Bias Grid Voltage for
transparent sheet: SP2-001-4 (1000 to 1070).
3. Instructing the operator to set the lower
toner bottle first.
The open/close mechanism for the lower
toner bottle cap does not work properly. In
some cases, the mechanism does not return
the cap to the bottle, which causes the toner
to spill when the bottle is removed. This
symptom occurs only with the lower toner
bottle. If the upper toner bottle is set first, the
machine LCD will instruct the operator to set
the lower toner bottle first.
4. System settings in User Tools.
Thick paper and tab stock can be selected at
the same time for tray 4 or 5. Firmware
version 7.28.1 did not make this function. The
plain paper index can be selected (punch
function enable).
Index tab paper and thick paper can be
selected when the two keys are pressed.
5. Margin adjustment per original can be
adjusted by changing the original margin
adjustment by the user tool to that of by SP
mode.
Margins for each scanned original can be
adjusted using the SP modes, that have been
added with this release.
SP5-924-1 (Margin Per Original, default :No)
SP5-924-2 (Per Original Priority, default 0:Off)
This change was a result of requests from the
Japanese domestic market. The following
remarks will be added as machine limitations.
As a general rule, the settings should not be
changed.

Printing productivity for the 1st set of
originals will be decreased after the
margin is adjusted.
