Drive Status

The meaning of each drive status is described below.
Available
Available (Predictive Failure)
Spare
Present
Readying
Rebuild/Copyback
Redundant Copy

Volume Status

The meaning of each volume status is described below.
Available
Spare in Use
Readying
Rebuild
Copyback
Redundant Copy
Partially Exposed Rebuild
Exposed
Status
The drive is in normal status.
The drive is used in the RAID group.
SMART occurred in a user data disk.
The drive is an unused hot spare.
The drive is not used (not registered as a RAID group or hot spare), or is waiting
for rebuild/copy back.
The drive is starting up.
Rebuild or copy back is being performed in the drive.
A Redundant copy is being performed in the drive.
The drive is not supported. [Example] Drive capacity is insufficient.
The drive cannot be recognized.
An error involving RAID group failure has occurred in the drive.
An error has occurred in the drive.
The drive is not defined or has not been installed.
Quick formatting has just started in the drive.
The drive is not formatted.
A status other than the ones listed above.
Status
The volume is in normal status.
The RAID group that contains the relevant volume manages redundancy by using
the hot spare disk.
The volume is not formatted.
Rebuilding from a failed data disk to the hot spare disk or to the replaced disk is
being performed in the RAID group to which the volume belongs.
Copyback is being performed from the hot spare disk to the new data disk in the
RAID group to which the volume belongs.
Redundant copy to the hot spare disk is being performed in the RAID group to
which the volume belongs.
Rebuilding from the first failed data disk to the hot spare disk or to the replaced
disk is being performed in the RAID group to which the volume belongs.
This status is displayed only when the RAID type of the RAID group to which the
volume belongs is "High Reliability (RAID6)".
The RAID group to which the volume belongs lost redundancy due to disk failure.
