Chapter 57: System Severity Command List
config system_severity
Description
This command is used to configure the severity level control for the system.
When the user chooses a specific level to log or trap, messages at that severity level or more will be
logged or trapped to SNMP managers.
Format
config system_severity [log | all] [emergency | alert | critical | error |
warning | notice | information | debug | <level 0-7>]
Parameters
log - Specifies the severity level control for the log.

all - Specifies the severity level control for traps and the log.
●
emergency - Severity level 0.
●
alert - Severity level 1.
●
critical - Severity level 2.
●
error - Severity level 3.
●
warning - Severity level 4.
●
notice - Severity level 5.
●
information - Severity level 6.
●
debug - Severity level 7.
●
<level 0-7> - Enter the severity level here. This value must be between 0 and 7.
●
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example
To configure severity level control as information level for trap:
EAS 200-24p:admin# config system_severity log information
Command: config system_severity log information
Success.
