Chapter 25: IGMP / MLD Snooping Command List

config igmp_snooping

Description
The config igmp_snooping command configures IGMP snooping on the switch.
Format
config igmp_snooping [vlan_name <vlan_name 32> | vlanid <vlanid_list> | all]
{state [enable | disable] | fast_leave [enable | disable] | report_suppression
[enable | disable]}(1)
Parameters
vlan_name - Specify the name of the VLAN for which IGMP snooping is to be configured.
<vlan_name 32> - Enter the VLAN name here. The VLAN name can be up to 32 characters long.
vlanid - Specify the VLAN ID for which IGMP snooping is to be configured.

<vlanid_list> - Enter the VLAN ID here.
all - Specify to use all configured VLANs.
state - (Optional) Enable or disable IGMP snooping for the chosen VLAN.
enable - Enter enable to enable IGMP snooping for the chosen VLAN.
disable - Enter disable to disable IGMP snooping for the chosen VLAN.
fast_leave - Enable or disable the IGMP snooping fast leave function.
enable - Enter enable to enable the IGMP snooping fast leave function. If enabled, the
membership is immediately removed when the system receives the IGMP leave message.
disable - Enter disable to disable the IGMP snooping fast leave function.
report_suppression - When IGMP report suppression is enabled (the default), the switch sends the
first IGMP report from all hosts for a group to all the multicast routers. The switch does not send the
remaining IGMP reports for the group to the multicast routers. If the multicast router query includes
requests only for IGMPv1 and IGMPv2 reports, the switch forwards only the first IGMPv1 or
IGMPv2 report from all hosts for a group to all the multicast routers. If the multicast router query
also includes requests for IGMPv3 reports, the switch forwards all IGMPv3 reports for a group to the
multicast devices.
enable - Enter enable to enable the report suppression function.
disable - Enter disable to disable the report suppression function.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
