seconds — Number of seconds to wait before sending hello packets to the OSPF virtual
interface. (Range: 1–65535)
Default Configuration
10 seconds is the default configuration.

This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example configures a 50-second wait interval.
console(config-router)#area 10 virtual-link 192.168.2.2 hello-
interval 50

area virtual-link retransmit-interval

Use the area virtual-link retransmit-interval command in Router OSPF Configuration mode to
configure the retransmit interval for the OSPF virtual interface on the virtual interface
identified by the area ID and neighbor ID. Use the no form of the command to return the
retransmit interval to the default value.
Syntax

area-id — Identifies the OSPF area to configure. (Range: IP address or decimal from
0–4294967295)
neighbor-id — Identifies the Router ID of the neighbor.
seconds — The number of seconds to wait between retransmitting LSAs if no
acknowledgement is received. (Range: 0–3600)
Default Configuration
The default configuration is 5 seconds.
