rmon event
Use the rmon event command in Global Configuration mode to configure an event. To remove
an event, use the no form of this command. Also see the show rmon events command.
Syntax
rmon event
no rmon event
index — The event index. (Range: 1–65535)

type — The type of notification that the device generates about this event. Can have the

following values: none, log, trap, log-trap. In the case of log, an entry is made in the log table
for each event. In the case of trap, an SNMP trap is sent to one or more management stations.

The following example configures an event with the trap index of 10.
