Name (Mst); Revision (Mst) - Dell PowerConnect 8024 Cli Reference Manual

For two or more switches to be in the same MST region, they must have the same VLAN
mapping, the same configuration revision number, and the same name.
Example
The following example maps VLANs 10-20 to MST instance 1.
console(config)#spanning-tree mst configuration
console(config-mst)#instance 1 add vlan 10-20

name (mst)

Use the name command in MST mode to define the configuration name. To return to the
default setting, use the no form of this command.

The following example sets the configuration name to "region1".

revision (mst)

Use the revision command in MST mode to identify the configuration revision number. To
