ip irdp address

Use the ip irdp address command in Interface Configuration mode to configure the address
that the interface uses to send the router discovery advertisements. Use the no form of the
command to return the address to the default.
Syntax
ip irdp address

ip-address — IP address for router discovery advertisements. (Range: 224.0.0.1 [all-hosts IP

multicast address] or 255.255.255.255 [limited broadcast address])
Default Configuration
IP address 224.0.0.1 is the default configuration.
Command Mode
Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example sets the limited broadcast address as the IP address for router discovery
advertisements.
console(config)#interface vlan 15
console(config-if-vlan15)#ip irdp address 255.255.255.255

ip irdp holdtime

Use the ip irdp holdtime command in Interface Configuration mode to configure the value, in
seconds, of the holdtime field of the router advertisement sent from this interface. Use the no
form of the command to set the time to the default value.
