The MAC address aging timer takes effect globally on dynamic MAC address
entries (learned or administratively configured) only.
To prevent a MAC address table from getting too large to degrade forwarding
performance, you may restrict the number of MAC addresses that can be learned
on a port or an aggregation port group.

The default maximum number
of MAC addresses that can be
learned is 4096. Only a device
installed with MIM-16 FSW,
MIM-24 FSW, FIC-16 FSW and
FIC-24 FSW interfaces
supports the command and
after the upper limit reaches,
frames with unknown
destination MAC addresses
can be forwarded.
