VERVIEW
The fuzzy telephone number registration refers to the use of a wildcard (including
the dot . and the character T), rather than a standard E.164 number in the match
template of a POTS entity.
After enabling fuzzy telephone number registration, the voice gateway (router)
retains dots and substitutes asterisks (*) for Ts when sending REGISTER messages.
Configuration prerequisites
The configuration at the SIP server end is completed.
Configuration procedure
Follow these steps to configure fuzzy telephone number registration:

To use the fuzzy telephone number registration function, make sure that the
registrar and the location server also support the function.
Both H.323 routing and SIP routing are available on your router. When using the
router as a UA, you need to configure SIP routing for VoIP entities.
On a network where no SIP proxy servers are present, configure destination static
IP addresses in VoIP entities for sending SIP messages. If a SIP server is present,
configure to use the SIP proxy server for SIP message interaction.
