On different devices, the MEPs belonging to the same MD and MA should be configured with the
same CCM sending interval.
If the device has multiple cards with assistant CPUs, the CCMs will be sent by one of these cards.
If the card that sends the CCMs is unplugged, another card will take over to send CCMs and CC
will be re-performed. If all the cards with assistant CPUs are unplugged, MEPs with the interval
field value set as 3 will stop sending CCMs immediately, while those with the interval field value set
as 4 to 7 will send CCMs through their host cards and CC over these MEPs will be re-performed.
The relationship between the interval field value in the CCM messages, the interval between CCM
messages and the timeout time of the remote MEP is illustrated in

In a non-IRF environment with EB or SD cards, the valid value range for the interval field is 3 to 7, while
in other cases, the valid value range for the interval field is 4 to 7.

Configuring LB on MEPs

The LB function can verify the link state between two ends after CC detects a link fault.
