10.4 Using 2-tone to Initiate a Selective Call
Operating the Transceiver

Press the
2-tone
key.
The 2-tone Encode Memory List appears.

Press the
Up
or
Down
NX-800/ NX-800H) to select the target data from 2-tone Encode List.

Selecting or Clearing Data from a List on page 42
selection methods.

Select one of the following operations.
• In order to send the 2-tone code and initiate voice calls, press the PTT switch.
• To send only the 2-tone code, press the Side 2 (NX-200/ NX-210/ NX-300) or the Square key (NX-700/ NX-700H/ NX-800/
NX-800H).
The transceiver sends the 2-tone code.
Note
If "QT/DQT and Optional Signaling" is configured for Audio Control, the transceiver will abort the standby mode for Optional Signaling
after the transceiver transmits. The Transmit LED blinks orange when the transceiver finishes transmitting. (Refer to
Speaker (Audio Control (Analog)) on page
