Background Hunt
Background Hunt is the function to periodically attempt to acquire a control channel providing better conditions while the
transceiver is in the standby state on a control channel.
When the transceiver receives a message or annunciation information from a system after acquiring a control channel, the
transceiver starts the Background Hunt to acquire a control channel providing better conditions, such as a control channel
having better signal strength or higher priority.
If the transceiver finds a site providing better conditions compared with the current control channel, the transceiver will
migrate to that control channel and start the process to acquire the control channel to be in the standby state.
Comprehensive Hunt
Comprehensive Hunt is the function to check for all channels configured in the Frequency Table as candidate control
channels if the transceiver cannot acquire a control channel according to the normal control channel acquisition procedure.
If the transceiver fails the acquisition test for all candidate control channels, the transceiver reactivates the Preferential
Hunt Sequence.
Note
Since the Comprehensive Hunt Sequence attempts the acquisition for all candidate control channels, it may take an overly long time to
acquire the control channel.

A channel configured as Site Hunt Control Channel in each site is searched. Site Hunt
Control Channel is a channel that can be used as a control channel in each site.
All channels that can be used as a control channel are searched based on all
frequencies configured in a Frequency Table.
A channel configured as Failsoft Channel is searched.
