2.2.1. Pre-installation procedure
Introduction
This section is intended for use when unpacking and installing the robot for the first time. It
also contains information useful during later re-installation of the robot.
Checking the pre-requisites for installation
Installation craftsmen working with an ABB robot must:

be trained by ABB and have the required knowledge of mechanical and electrical
installation/maintenance/repair work
conform to all national and local codes.
Action
1. Visually inspect the robot to make sure that it is not damaged.
2. Make sure that the lifting device used is suitable to handle the weight of the robot as
specified in:

3. If the robot is not installed directly, it must be stored as described in:

4. Make sure that the expected operating environment of the robot conforms to the spec-
ifications as described in:

5. Before taking the robot to its installation site, make sure that the site conforms to:

6. Before moving the robot, please observe the stability of the robot:
