• The MECHATROLINK Transmission Definition Window
The MECHATROLINK Transmission Definition window has four tabs: Transmission Parameters, Link
Assignment, I/O Map, and Status. Click the tab to view the contents.
1. Transmission Parameters Tab
The parameters required to use the MECHATROLINK transmission system are displayed.
<Communication Type: MECHATROLINK-II>
The items shown on the Transmission Parameters tab are as follows. For editable items, the settings can
be changed. Always save the settings to the flash memory after changing them.

Display during Self-configuration
Communication
Displays the detected communication type.
Type
Displays whether the selected SVB Module
Master/Slave
is used as a master station or slave station.
My station address
Displays the local station address set by
using the rotary switches.
(Local station address)
Displays the transmission speed for commu-
nication.
The indication will be as follows depending
on the communication type.

MECHATROLINK-II (17 Byte Mode):

2.2 Functions of the MP2100/MP2100M Base Module

Options and Precautions on Settings
Select from among "MECHATROLINK-II (32
Byte Mode)," "MECHATROLINK-II (17 Byte
Mode)" and "MECHATROLINK-I."
Select either "Master" or "Slave." For Built-in
SVB Modules (slot "00"), this is fixed as "Mas-
ter."
For master station, fixed to 0.
For a slave station you make any setting in the
range from 1 to the number of slave stations.
Cannot be set.
Cannot be set.
