Spindle Assembly Removal

1. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
2. Remove the belt cover.
3. Remove the extension spring from the anchor post
(Fig. 559).

4. Remove the belt from the mower deck pulleys (Fig.
560).

5. Raise the machine so the underside of the deck can
be accessed.
6. Block the mower deck blade and remove the blade
bolt, washer, and blade from the spindle (Fig. 561).
7. Remove the six nuts securing the thread forming
screws (Fig. 562).
