Speed Control Installation

1. Secure the three pulleys to the control assembly
using washers and nuts (Fig. 313).

2. Position the carriage bolt, washer, spacer, and wave
washers onto the control assembly (Fig. 314).

Note: The wave washers must be nested together,
not alternating (Fig. 315).

3. Secure the handle to the control assembly using the
retainer, lock washer, and flange nut (Fig. 316).
Note: The speed control handle must move freely,
yet have adequate drag to keep it from
moving during operation.
