Deck Strut Replacement

Rear Strut Removal

1. Raise the machine to access the underside of the
mower deck.
2. Remove the bolt, nut and washer securing the strut
to the frame assembly (Fig. 674).
Note: If the bolt must be replaced, loosen the
wheel motor to gain the clearance needed to
remove.

3. Remove the bolt, nut and washer securing the strut
to the engine base and deck (Fig. 675).

4. Remove the spacer from the suspension bushing
(Fig. 676).
5. Using an arbor press, remove the suspension
bushing from the strut (Fig. 677).

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the other end of the strut.
