VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM 8H - 16
INSTALLATION
(1) Install cable as described under Servo Unit -
Installation.
(2) Route cable from servo, through cable support
bracket, and install cable on nail head stud.
(3) Install air cleaner (except V-10 and diesel).
SPEED CONTROL SWITCH REPLACEMENT
(1) Disconnect negative cable from battery.

(2) From underside of steering wheel, remove
speed control switch mounting screws (Fig. 11).

(3) Pull switches from wheel and unplug connector
(Fig. 12).

(4) Plug electrical connector into new switches.
(5) Install new switches with 2 screws.
SPEED CONTROL VACUUM RESERVOIR
REPLACEMENT-GAS ENGINES
The vacuum reservoir is located i n the cowl area
near the windshield wiper linkage.
REMOVAL
CAUTION: The use of a screwdriver or other prying
tool to remove a wiper arm may distort it. This dis­
tortion could allow the arm to come off the pivot
shaft, regardless of how carefully it is installed.
(1) Lift wiper arm to permit the latch (Fig. 13) to
be pulled out to the holding position. Remove arm
from pivot using a rocking motion.

(2) Remove weatherstrip along front edge of cowl
grille (Fig. 14).
