(3) Install bezel to instrument panel.
(4) Install cup holder and ash receiver assemblies.
Be certain that center clips on metal track housings
catch tabs on instrument panel. Tighten screws to
2.2 N-m (20 in. lbs.) torque.
GLOVE BOX
DOOR AND BIN
REMOVAL
(1) Open door. Depress right side of bin enough to
allow stop to clear opening (Fig. 13).

(2) From inside glove, push on stem of button hold­
ing strap at left end of door. Button will push out al­
lowing strap to be removed.
(3) The door and bin are removed by lifting door
off hinges (Fig. 14).
INSTALLATION
(1) Snap bin onto door assembly.
(2) Push strap and retaining button into hole.
(3) Close glove box door.

GLOVE BOX LATCH
(1) Open glove box door.
(2) Remove latch retaining clip.
(3) Remove latch.
(4) Reverse removal procedure to install.
CATCH
REMOVAL
(1) Open glove box door.
(2) Remove glove box lamp and switch assembly.
Refer to Glove Box Lamp Switch, i n this section.
(3) Remove catch mounting screws.
(4) Remove catch.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position catch into place, install mounting
screws and tighten securely.
(2) Install glove box switch and lamp assembly.
(3) Close glove box door.
INSTRUMENT PANEL REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
WARNING: THE AIRBAG SYSTEM IS A SENSITIVE,
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL UNIT. BEFORE ATTEMPT­
ING TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE AIRBAG SYS­
TEM COMPONENTS YOU MUST FIRST
DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGA­
TIVE (GROUND) CABLE. ALLOW SYSTEM CAPACI­
TOR TO DISCHARGE FOR 2 MINUTES THEN BEGIN
AIRBAG REMOVAL. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD
RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT AND POS­
SIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
(1) Disconnect negative cable from battery.
(2) Remove left and right kick panel trim.
(3) Remove 5 screws and knee blocker (Fig. 15).
(4) Remove 4 screws and instrument panel support
(Fig. 16).
