both terminals of circuit breaker for battery voltage.
I f only one terminal checks at battery voltage, circuit
breaker is defective and must be replaced. I f neither
terminal shows battery voltage, check for open or
shorted circuit to circuit breaker.
(2) Remove driver's door switch as described i n the
Service Procedures section of this group.
(3) Carefully separate multiple terminal block on
wiring harness from switch body.
(4) Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect
one lead of test lamp to black (BK) wire terminal
(cavity 3). Touch other test lamp lead to tan (TN)
wire terminal (cavity 4). I f test lamp comes on, the
wiring circuit between the battery and switch is func­
tional. I f lamp does not come on, check for an open
circuit or poor ground. I f OK, install left door switch.
(5) Remove passenger door switch as described i n
the Service Procedures section of this group.
(6) Measure voltage at lock terminal (cavity 3) of
right door switch connector. Meter should read bat­
tery voltage. I f not, repair open circuit between cir­
cuit breaker and switch.
(7) Turn ignition switch to OFF. Measure resis­
tance between cavities 2 and 4 of right door switch
connector to ground. Meter should read zero ohms. I f
not, repair open i n circuit between switches. I f OK,
install right door switch.
(8) A t the motor connector, check for battery volt­
age at either terminal with a door switch moved to
up or down position. I f OK, replace motor. I f not, re­
pair open i n circuit to motor.
