Preparatory steps
● Disconnect the drive line-up from the power supply
● Allow unimpeded access to the power block.
● Remove the protective cover.
Removal steps
The removal steps are numbered in accordance with the numbers in the diagram.
1. Unscrew the connection to the DC link (6 screws).
2. Unscrew the connection to the line connection (9 screws).
3. Remove the retaining screws at the top (4 screws).
4. Remove the retaining screws at the bottom (2 screws).
5. Remove the DRIVE-CLiQ cables and connections on –X41 / –X42 / –X46 (6 plugs).
6. Take out the retaining screws for the IPD card (2 screws) and remove the IPD card from
plug -X45 on the Control Interface Module.
7. Remove the mounts for the Control Interface Module (2 nuts) and carefully pull out the
Control Interface Module.
When removing the Control Interface Module, you have to disconnect 5 additional plugs
one after the other (2 at the top, 3 below).
8. Disconnect the plug for the thermocouple.
9. Unscrew the two retaining screws for the fan and attach the equipment for assembling the
power block at this position.
You can now remove the power block.
Note
The power block weighs approx. 135 kg!
NOTICE
Damage to the device if signal cables are damaged when removing
Signal cables can be damaged when the power block is removed. This can cause the
device to fail.
• When removing the power block, ensure that you do not damage any signal cables.
