3. Raise the antenna to a vertical position.
4. Make sure the status LED is On. When the LED is not On, check to see
that the AC adapter is plugged in and that the handset makes good
contact with the base charging contacts.
Use only the supplied AC adapter (730627).

Connect the AC adapter to a continuous power supply.

Place the base unit close to the AC outlet so you can unplug the

AC adapter easily.
After installing the battery pack in the handset, charge the handset
H
at least three to five hours before plugging it into the telephone line.
5. Connect the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack and the other end
to the AP(R)-R Unit. Refer to paragraph
(Port Adapter) on page 9-14
