To avoid injury before starting and running the engine,
ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, parking
brake is set, and the wheels are blocked.
1. Chock the tires, place the transmission in neutral, and set the parking brake.
NOTE:
Change the engine oil only when the engine is at a temperature of approximately 140 F
(60 C).
2. Using a 36-mm socket, unscrew the oil filter cap. See Figure 13-4.
