[a] Mount a dial gauge and a gauge holder on the valve bridge. Mount the dial gauge
with a preload of approximately 15 mm (0.60 inch) to provide adequate travel for
checking the intake valve lift.
[b] Set the scale on the dial gauge to "0" (zero).
