Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) Fault
Nordson offers two test plugs that simplify the troubleshooting of
RTD
faults. These test plugs help you quickly and easily determine whether
the problem is
a
gun, hose, or tank RTD problem or a control system
problem.

When
the
FAULT
light
And the Selector
display
And the
Multipurpose
display

Flashes
for
two minutes
then stays
on
continuously

a
zone
number (refer to
Table B 2-4)

NOTE
A:
When
the
FAULT
light flashes, the warning output contact is open and the fault output contact
is closed.
After
a
two-minute delay, the warning output contact closes and the fault output contact opens. When
the
FAULT light
is
off, both output contacts are
closed.

The
actual-temperature display will show 260 'C (500
'F)
if
the
RTD is open
the RTD is shorted.
It
will
show 0 'C (0
'F) if
